Exotic Animal Capture and Transport

Land owners who maintain wildlife management areas require exotic animal capture and transport services when they purchase new exotic animals, sell their exotic animals, need to provide medical care to their exotic animal or need to move their exotic animal to a new habitat. When working with exotic animals, Ranch Consulting takes all precautions. We use modern techniques to minimize stress with handling and capture.

  • Techniques
  • Helicopter is used to split a herd to isolate individual exotic animals
  • If necessary, a net gun is used to capture individual exotic animals from the midst of a herd
  • Tranquilizers are shot from the helicopter
  • Once sedated, the animal is blindfolded to minimize stress
  • Shields are used as a truck ramp to minimize blunt force trauma
  • Once loaded, exotic animals are carefully positioned to enable them to stand safetly when they wake
  • A helicopter can be used to drive a herd to a new location
